It had been years since I'd owned a wristwatch. I preferred glancing at the PC screen or my BlackBerry if I wanted to know the time, choosing to hold out until I could get the watch of my dreams.
I can't say the Gucci is the watch of my dreams, but during Great Recession, it seemed a good investment in a luxury piece at a not-at-all-bad price.
The item arrived within a couple of days of placing the order, and in luxury packaging. (The box is as nice as the watch, and I'm hanging on to the box. I'll figure out later what in the world to do with it).
The face of the timepiece is simple, but then, my needs are simple. I don't need a second hand, or a smaller clock to tell me the time in another zone. I just need to be able to glance and keep my day on track, and this watch meets these needs.
The watch band is as tight as a tick, however. It is a precise fit, with not a bit of extra room. My wrists are fairly small, and it's a good thing, as I'm able to wear it.
