Battery operated Bleeding Skull Fountain Decide Now

This fountain is actually made somewhat better than most of the Halloween junk out there, which looks great online but disappoints in person. It is made of a thick plastic, and looks pretty much like it does online. Set-up was easy...you just toss in two AA batteries, fill up the water reservoir, and flip the switch.

Obviously, in order to give the illusion of blood (or slime) coming from the skull's eyes, you need to add food coloring to the water. The instructions say to add a few drops, but you need to add quite a bit more than a few drops, otherwise the water looks pink and translucent. Not an issue for me, just an FYI.

I deducted one star because of the "sound activation" feature doesn't work. The fountain will run on its own for a few minutes after you turn it on, and then it automatically shuts off. After that, according to the box, "The pump will turn on as sound activates it and run for approximately three minutes". After the pump turned off after its initial run, I stood a few feet away and talked loudly. Nothing happened. I got closer and closer to the thing until I was shouting into its ear, and it still didn't do anything. Finally I pounded the table next to it, and it began to run.

It would also be nice if you could choose to run it continuously, which is what I wanted it to do (just for an hour, during a party), but that isn't an option.

Cheap Wilton Halloween Pre- Baked Cookie House Kit

I logged on to review this because I was so angry and irritated, only to find another review stated exactly what I was going to say! We too, have purchased the Christmas Gingerbread house for the past 3 years for my now 5 year old. He literally spends hours decorating the houses. I thought this was going to be just as much fun for him. However, it has been nothing but frustrating for me. Rarely do I get so upset at something that I want to cry and just throw a project away, but I am at that point. I asked my son if he could just decorate the pieces of gingerbread like cookies...of course he said no. So, here I am back trying to "glue" this house together for the third time (first time just fell apart, second time I used the wrong sides...see below). It does not have a wonderful little plastic tray that everything fits into like the Christmas house. Furthermore, I DO NOT like mixing my own icing. After I got the BLACK icing in the decorator bag,the seam blew out. I tried to salvage as much icing out of the bag that I could, but most of it went in the trash. There is icing all over my counter, my fingers, and my clothes! What a mess. Thankfully, I have extra decorating bags. After an hour of setting up the house, I went back to put the roof on only to find that I used the wrong sides (no instructions included of how to put together, you are on your own)! So, here I am with very little black icing left, my son lost interest within the first 5 minutes because he really cannot help put the actual house together, and now we are waiting for it to dry for another hour before he can decorate it! I thought this costume was really cute in the picture. I have an 11 month old female golden retriever, not yet fully grown, so to be sure it would fit I ordered the XL. It absolutely did NOT fit. It was way too short, so the tail of the skunk was laying on the middle of her back. The front fit alright around her head but because the costume was too short overall, it kept pulling back thus the skunk ears were on my dog's neck. There also isn't enough velcro to secure the costume onto the dog and the one velcro strap that goes under the belly was too big. I could not keep the costume on my dog at all while she was walking around.
